Scottish Hockey - Signup Details

Scottish Hockey (SH) have changed their membership approach, and all players and associated members of the club are now required to sign-up with Scottish Hockey directly.

The registration is here:
https://scottish-hockey.sport80.com/public/wizard/a/1320/home

Information including tutorials and FAQs from SH is here:
https://scottish-hockey.org.uk/new-membership-and-engagement-platform-launched-as-sport80-goes-live/

As SH have launched this new website during the main membership renewal period, we have already included SH membership in your fees for this year. When signing up please don't pay, just "add" individual membership (rather than "add and checkout"). We will make payments covering all memberships this year.

There are several membership categories listed:

Category Who it covers
Adult Members 18 and over playing in matches
Casual Members 18 and over playing 3 or less matches per year
U18 Under 18s likely to play both adult and youth hockey
Youth Under 18s only playing youth hockey

Full categories are listed on the SH website here: https://scottish-hockey.org.uk/participation/become-a-member/

Notes:

  • Parents/Guardians should register themselves first and then can add any under 18s as an additional player on their account. Non-playing parents don't need membership.
  • Once completed, please go into EHC pitchero and update the field "Season 2024/25: Registered with Scottish Hockey" so that we can track completion.
  • We have flagged that some of the information being requested by SH is not appropriate, please use judgement when completing.
  • We have no more information on completing than is listed on the site.
  • There is a 'Club Supporter' category for non-playing members. We are clarifying with SH who this should cover as most of our supporters are volunteers
  • To ease the administrative burden, please ensure you sign-up yourself (and any children) using exactly the same names as on Pitchero. If you don't then it will increase the risk that you are not correctly registered and unable to play.
  • This should be a one-off registration, and in future years you'll pay SH membership directly, and we will reduce EHC club membership to offset.
