CALA looked up against it from the start - no substitutes available , and an older, more physically imposing Inverleith team.
A series of speedy attacks saw Inverleith score 5 in the first quarter, and despite some more resilient defending in the second quarter, CALA were seven goals down by half time.
What must have been a highly inspiring half-time team talk from Kerry-Anne and Cameron resulted in a much stronger second half performance with plenty of flowing passes and much more time spent in the Inverleith D. The pressure paid off with a well deserved goal, and although Inverleith scored two more goals before full time, the final quarter performance was a remarkable transformation from the first.
While the scoreline was certainly disappointing there was plenty to be proud of and some impressive teamwork to build on next season.
