Ladies 5s were faced with an uphill task with only 10 players and no GK against the side running away with the league. A really young team tackled it full on and played some excellent hockey both in attack and defence. Well done especially to Lyndsay Thomson on her senior debut. They were clinical when we didn't make the best decisions and punished as in a way which would not have been possible had we had a GK.
The shape in defence was great for much of the game and we did create opportunities which was great to see. And the fact we were short was partly due to 3 players being drafted up to the 4s with all teams struggling for numbers today.
